People ( how old are you?)

 Situation

- Aminata : hello, my name is Aminata, and you?
- Fabrice : hi, my name is Fabrice
How old are you?
- Aminata : I am eleven years old. And you?
- Fabrice : I am thirteen years old and I am your neighbor.
- Aminata : Ok nice to meet you!
- Fabrice : Nice to meet you too!

Introduction
We use this question how old ...? to know the age of someone or something. But contrary to the french language, the auxillary ""to be""  is used to express the age in english and no ""to have".

Rule: subject+ to be (conjugated)+ number+ year(s) + old

Examples
In french                  in english
J'ai 18 ans    I am eighteen years old
Elle a 60 ans    she is sixty years old
Mon bébé a 01 an    my baby is one                                                 year old.

Exercise
Translate these following sentences:
1- il a seize ans mais il continue toujours de chier sur lui.
2 - j'ai vingt-cinq ans et je suis déjà milliardaire.
3 - si vanessa a dix-huit ans, alors elle est ma petite sœur.
4 - elle a quatorze ans avec déjà deux enfants.
5 - Myriam a dix ans.

Adverbs of place

  I ntroduction Adverbs of place are used to indicate where an action takes place. They are generally put after the principal verb or the object complement. The different adverbs of place are: - around (autour) - everywhere (partout) - back (derrière) - behind (derrière) - before (devant) - in front of (en face de... Ou devant) - after (après) - next to ( à côté de...) - in (dans) - nearby (proche) - far (loin) - outside (extérieur) - here (ici) - there (là, là-bas, y) Examples - look at in my school, if there is course today . - I am there, behind her house.
